The aim of the Art of Diversities project is to create a colorful palette of history, culture and art of a wide range of Islamic countries through bringing together diverse historical and contemporary paintings, artistic and design objects, sculpture, architecture, graphics, fashion, photography, film, music, literature, and food art.
Our vision is to create an attractive annual artistic event which will set ground for additional informal gatherings, exchange of ideas, and further cooperation among countries.
The first opening year will also present different national cuisines and a variety of other accompanying events. This event aims to launch further expansion of art exchange between the Czech Republic and other countries.
Oman enchanted me and everybody kept asking me what I see in this country. “Everyone there smiles all the time, “ was my answer.
The ArtOman photo exhibition was created after my return to Prague, in its logo I used the motif of the logo of Civic Forum, the smiley face.
The exhibition was created as part of the project Prague 6
“Tribute to V. H.” 80th birthday of late former President Václav Havel.
It maps the history of the creation of Civic Forum’s logo, through its metamorphosis during its 27 years in the context of historical events until the present.
The biggest international showcase of flavours and culture THE FESTIVAL OF EMBASSIES FOOD AND CULTURE. The gastronomy from all over the world has been presented at fifty stands under the auspices of over three dozens different coutries from all the continents. Several foreign musical and cultural productions have performed at the market.
Pavel Šťastný reminds us that the event came from the tradition of collaboration and partnership with the embassies from Asia and Africa. “The idea was created at our Farmers‘ market on Kulaťák in 2015 while we were presenting the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN). The idea to address all embassies was, on the other hand, initiated by the ambassadors of Thailand and Malaysia. We have been arraging similar smaller events for three years now, and for example, the countries of Southeast Asia keep coming back to us.
Also the partner cities of Prague 6 present themselves at the market.

Art of Cultural Diversities became a partner of the Festival of Arab Culture, which is organized by the students and employees of the Near Eastern Studies Department (at the Faculty of Philosophy and Arts) at the University of Western Bohemia in Pilsen. The goal of both projects is to introduce the Arabic and Islamic cultures in a broad spectrum, from traditional and contemporary visual art, through music, dance, theater and literature to the art of gastronomy.
The emergence of this artistic platform creates not only a space for mutual understanding and multicultural dialogue, but also a space for informal gatherings of prominent personalities working in different regions and countries. This year, already the sixth Arabfest was held and the Art of Cultural Diversities team visited this annual event.Gallery
